ALCOHOL(LIQUOR)--THE KILLER

Continue......It may not be a matter of addiction, but a daily routine, for many of my friends, from middle and upper classes, who after closing their business, just to get rid of the tiredness, call some friends by 9 in the evening and have two-three pegs....before leaving for home...., where they are normal, take dinner and after passing time with wife and children retire to bed.....

There is another middle and richer class, where it is a matter of celebrating birthdays, parties of representatives of companies, where they drink with all the bottles in their hands, and one lying here and one lying there... The marriages of few upper and lower castes are the grand occasion of the consumption of the whiskys, rums...there goes a van behind the marriage procession catering to all the incoming drunkards with bottles, and they are dancing with the marriage band till midnight....The Hindus and other caste people celebrate HOLI the festival of colours, happens once a year...

And this is the great occasion for them in the morning itself and evening that without ''daru'' (liquor), this festival will not be complete....Naturally, sometimes this may results in quarrels between the parties, particular in lower and middle class, somebody going to hospital.

Others cheer it up in the name of beer...they say they do not drink, but take beer only...may be two bottles or four bottles....and ultimately their tounge and legs go astray....and they abuse anything under the spell....Strange they think beer not intoxicating....then why they are in heaven....why not on earth with their wives and children.

In many a punjabi, sindhi, and other communities, it is a rule to treat the guests with these brands, before lunch and/or before dinner....may be few pegs....this may be their custom....and they hardly go out after the meals.....

In old Indian history, during those times, thousands of years ago, this was the drink of kings, their subordinates, and the rich people in the name of ''somras'' this is narrated in the ancient books..........THERE are thousands of villages in India, where the tribals make this raw wine in big jars, boiling, keeping under the ground, consumed by both the gendres...This is their heritage as may be when men/women lived in pre-medieval ages....

But in countries like India, which is a warm region, this is more harmful, then beneficial...While in cold countries, it is like we consume tea.....necessary to keep them warm...

There are many cases in India of failure of liver , and many celeb personalities died and thousands are suffering......may be helpful to forget the present, but disdvantages are more than advantages....viz..lying drunk, where....?, abusing, shouting, beating the innocents, non-stop speaking abusively etc....and if continued, the ultimate is the hospitals/doctors....and may be ' heaven or hell (hell they lived here itself, making the ''hell' of others lives.).

Govt give licences for shops earning crores in revenue...for taking home and get sunk....Few Govts. ban it, but really it is....? are there no drunkards? do they migrate to other states...?...God(Govt) knows what happens behind the curtain.?.....Long live.....?
