People have different mind trends. There are extroverts and many are introverts. The extroverts like the tenacity of flirting...may be few exceptions from the introverts, who cannot avoid the opposite sex. However they come forward late in comparison to my extroverts friends. They are more voracious in presenting themselves to the girls 'to flirt'. It is one of the most romantic part of human nature. The guys (of any age) flirt but the gals are less in quantity in this gesture. Yea, in western countries the gals figure may be high, but in India it is not so.

2) The persons who flirt are more confident, through their body language to attract the soft cornered girls. The girls too enjoy this but secretly, untill and unless both become more open in terms of exchanging the 'love words'....Initially this may be done through eyes. You know the meaning of 'eye contact'. This comes here too. A lovely look may tell thousand words. So maintain it with grace, not staring or gazing. This is one way to give your flirting a chance. Chances double, quadruple and there is great surety that the other person is affected...This you will know later.

3) Have some time for other person to reciprocate, may be through eyes (as stated above), body language, interpreting signs, so your confidence grows to a better tomorrow when you may get a chance to have conversation. The other thing that will take you to this stage is your smile. To smile gently is also an art. But the mentally prepared will acquire it with the help of mirrors. Too big a smile will show you a fast bowler. Avoid it. There are gentle ways of throwing the ball which does not hurt, but flirts.....next
